We’re giving away bath toys. Two generations joyously stuck the foam letters and blue fish on tubs as we watched, learning colors and shapes, while water turned tepid. As grandchildren outgrow them, we recognize we won’t live long enough to see great-grandchildren play with them. Toys mark our time passing unremittingly.
