The Green Dream

Reading suggestion: “a poem for your small child to recite”

The trees are tall, the leaves are green,
The brightest woods you've ever seen.
The little birds fly up so high,
They sing a song across the sky.

We save the water, clear and cool,
For every fish in every pool.
We plant a seed and watch it grow,
To help the earth, we love it so.

So let's protect the woods today,
And keep the trash so far away.
For every leaf and every tree,
Will make a home for you and me.
